Wholesale Mobile Accessories for Latin American Resellers: What Sells and How to Source It

Wholesale mobile accessories are the highest-margin, lowest-freight line in a phone reseller’s assortment. Every smartphone sold pulls a charger, a cable, a case and often a power bank or earbuds behind it. Latin America’s accessories market is worth about 10.5 billion dollars and growing 6.1% a year, and authorized brands like Belkin and Samsung are winning share from no-name imports as safety rules tighten. This guide covers what sells, why authorized supply matters more here than in any other category, and how to build a first order from Miami.

Phones bring the customer in. Accessories pay the rent.

How big is the wholesale mobile accessories market in Latin America?

About 10.5 billion dollars in 2025, forecast to reach 16.8 billion dollars by 2033 at a 6.1% compound annual growth rate. Brazil is expected to grow fastest. Offline channels still generated 73.33% of revenue in 2025, but online is the fastest-growing channel. The region represents roughly 10% of global mobile accessories revenue. Globally, the picture is the same. Mordor Intelligence sizes the mobile accessories market at 113.19 billion dollars in 2026, rising to 164.78 billion dollars by 2031, a 7.8% annual rate. [Source: Mordor Intelligence 2026]

For a retail buyer, the number that matters is the attach rate. If you sell 500 phones a month and attach two accessories to each, that is 1,000 accessory units at a margin two to three times the phone’s. No other category on the shelf does that.

Which mobile accessories sell best to resellers in Latin America?

Chargers and cables lead, then cases, then power banks and audio. The mix follows the phones being sold. Latin America shipped 34.8 million smartphones in the first quarter of 2026 alone. Samsung held 37%, Xiaomi 17%, Motorola 14%, Honor 10% and Apple 5%. [Source: Omdia 2026] So USB-C dominates, Samsung-compatible cases outsell every other fit, and Lightning is now a shrinking legacy line.

Category What moves Why it sells Brands available through ATC
Wall chargers 20W to 45W USB-C PD, GaN multi-port Phones ship without chargers; fast-charge is expected Belkin, Samsung
Cables USB-C to USB-C, USB-C to Lightning, braided 1m and 2m Highest replacement rate of any accessory Belkin, Samsung
Power banks 10,000 and 20,000 mAh, USB-C PD Commuters, students, unreliable grids in some markets Belkin
Cases and screen protectors Clear, rugged, magnetic; tempered glass Sold at point of phone purchase, near 100% attach in stores Samsung, Belkin
Wireless charging Qi2 and MagSafe-compatible pads and stands Premium attach on Samsung flagships and iPhone Belkin
Audio True wireless earbuds, on-ear headphones Top online category; strong brand pull JBL, Samsung
Storage microSD cards, USB-C flash drives Attach to mid-range Android with expandable storage SanDisk, Kingston

Price band matters too. The 150 to 250 dollar smartphone segment is now the largest in the region at 29% of shipments. [Source: Counterpoint Research 2026] Buyers of those phones want branded accessories at mid-range prices, not flagship-priced extras. That is exactly where Belkin’s core range and Samsung’s own-brand accessories sit.

Why does authorized supply matter more for wholesale mobile accessories?

Because a counterfeit charger can start a fire, and the reseller’s name is on the receipt. Electrical Safety First tested 50 counterfeit and lookalike iPhone chargers bought in the UK. Forty-nine failed basic safety checks. In total, 98% had the potential to deliver a lethal shock or cause a fire, with failures in electrical strength, insulation and plug pin construction. In ink or software, a gray-market product costs you a refund. In chargers, it can cost you a lawsuit. That is why the risk calculus is different here. Authorized accessories carry three protections the gray market cannot offer:

  • Certification. Belkin and Samsung products carry UL, CE and the local marks your market requires, including Mexico’s NOM. Customs and large retailers check for them.
  • Warranty. Belkin backs many chargers and cables with a connected equipment warranty. If the product damages the phone, the brand pays, not you.
  • Marketplace compliance. Amazon and Mercado Libre gate charger listings and pull products flagged by buyers. An authorized invoice keeps the listing live.

How do import rules affect accessories pricing in 2026?

Country of origin now decides landed cost, especially in Mexico. Since 1 January 2026, Mexico applies duties of 10% to 50% on 1,463 tariff lines, including electronics, for goods from countries without a trade agreement. That covers China, India, South Korea, Thailand and others. Goods qualifying under USMCA from the United States are exempt. [Source: Tetakawi 2026]

Accessories are a high-volume, low-unit-value category. So a 20% duty swing changes the retail price more than it does on a laptop. Routing through a U.S. authorized distributor with USMCA documentation is often the difference between competing and not competing on a charger listing. Our post on how to import electronics from Miami to Mexico explains the paperwork. The same logic applies through Panama’s Colón Free Zone for Central America and the Caribbean.

Accessories also ship efficiently. They are light, dense and not fragile. A single pallet can hold thousands of cables and chargers. As a result, they are the ideal filler for a mixed pallet of phones, laptops or printers. See Incoterms for electronics importers for how to quote the shipment.

How should a reseller build a first wholesale mobile accessories order?

Match the accessories to the phones you already sell, start with chargers and cables, and add cases by model. A practical first order for a store or marketplace seller looks like this:

  • 40% chargers and cables. USB-C PD wall chargers in 20W and 30W, braided USB-C cables in 1m and 2m. These have the highest replacement rate and the widest fit.
  • 25% cases and screen protectors. Ordered by phone model against your top ten sellers. Do not guess. Pull the list from your sales history.
  • 20% power banks. 10,000 mAh for everyday carry, 20,000 mAh for travel and commuters.
  • 15% audio and storage. One or two JBL true wireless models, plus microSD cards for expandable Android phones.

Minimums are set by inner carton, not pallet. That keeps a first order small. Our guide to MOQs in wholesale electronics explains what to expect. Payment follows the standard pattern too: deposit on the first orders, then net terms. See wholesale payment terms explained.

Online growth changes the reorder rhythm. In Mexico, online retail reached 941 billion pesos in 2025, up 19.2%, with 77.2 million online shoppers. [Source: AMVO Estudio de Venta Online 2026] Marketplace sellers reorder accessories weekly, not monthly. Plan your distributor relationship around that cadence.

How ATC supplies wholesale mobile accessories from Miami

Abboud Trading Corporation is an authorized distributor for Belkin, Samsung, JBL, SanDisk, Kingston and the other brands on our brands page. We have supplied retailers, distributors and enterprise buyers across the Americas and the Caribbean for more than 25 years from Miami, with offices in Mexico, Colombia, Panama and Chile.

Accessories ship on the same invoice as your phones, laptops, printers and software. So you get one credit line, one shipment and one warranty desk. Retail buyers can start with mixed inner cartons. Distribution partners can order by pallet with regional SKUs and NOM-compliant labeling for Mexico. Our mobile phone distribution post explains how the phone side of the bundle works. Frequently asked questions

What margin should a reseller expect on wholesale mobile accessories?

Higher than on the phone itself, usually by a wide margin. Accessories are small, light and branded. So the gap between distributor cost and retail price is wider than on hardware, where MAP policies and thin margins apply. Exact percentages depend on the brand, the channel and your volume. As a rule, cables and cases carry the widest margins. Power banks and audio carry the narrowest, because they compete with well-known brands online. Our post on MAP pricing explains where advertised price floors apply.

Are Belkin and Samsung accessories certified for Mexico and other Latin American markets?

Authorized distributors supply regional SKUs with the required marks. For Mexico, chargers and power accessories fall under NOM-001-SCFI-2018 for electrical safety and NOM-024-SCFI-2013 for labeling in Spanish. Ask your distributor to confirm the SKU ships NOM-compliant before ordering for Mexico. Other markets have their own marks. In every case, buying through the authorized channel is what makes the certification paperwork available when customs or a retail chain asks for it.

Should a reseller stock USB-C or Lightning accessories?

USB-C first. Samsung, Xiaomi, Motorola and Honor together held 78% of Latin American shipments in the first quarter of 2026, and all ship USB-C phones. Apple’s newer iPhones have moved to USB-C as well. Lightning still has an installed base, so keep a small stock of USB-C to Lightning cables for older iPhones. But do not build the assortment around it.

Can accessories ship with phones and other electronics in one order?

Yes, and they should. Accessories are the ideal pallet filler. They are dense, light and not fragile, so they fill the gaps around phones, laptops and printers on a mixed pallet. One commercial invoice and one bill of lading from Miami reduces freight and brokerage costs. It also simplifies customs. Most of our partners add accessories to every hardware order rather than ordering them separately.
